About Us
I have been a chinchilla owner for a little over three years. I started out with two males that I bought from my good friend Carrie of mistletoechins. After about a year I decided to try breeding. I started out with just one female and slowly began adding more chins to the herd. Currently we have over 35 chinchillas and plan to add more in the future!
I pride myself on having some of the friendliest chins around, and often hear from people that the chinchillas they got from me are the most social of all the chins they have!
I encourage anyone that is thinking about purchasing a chinchilla to do a good amount of research before bringing one home. I think that chinchillas make great pets but they may not be for everybody. They are very easy to take care of but do require daily attention. Although they look like litte snugglely animals they are not too fond of being smothered, they would prefer to bounce around the floor and jump all over you instead of sitting with you on the couch.
